Attefallshus with deck and glazing
The owners live abroad most of the year and wanted a small house on the plot that guests can use and that is easy to shut down when nobody is there. Thirty square metres, insulated, with a bathroom and kitchenette.
We drew the house with a large glazed gable facing south and the deck, and built it on a slab with underfloor heating so it can be kept frost free in winter.
What we did
- Notification and start permit from the municipality
- Ground slab with underfloor heating
- Timber frame, insulated for year round use
- Vertical cladding in Falu red, white trims
- Glazed gable to the deck, garden door
- Deck and planter boxes in treated pine

Building with the owners 1 200 kilometres away. Every Friday photos and a short note. Two decisions were made on video calls: the colour of the trims and where the garden door should go. When they arrived in August the house was finished and the planters were planted.
