Yellow house, new metal roof
A long fifties house with a rendered facade and a roof that leaked at both chimneys. The owners wanted something that lasts and does not need checking every spring. Black profiled sheet, proper flashings and new gutters.
We stripped and re-laid one half of the roof at a time so the house was covered every evening.

The tricky part
The chimneys. The old sheet had just been sealed round them with mastic, which is exactly where it leaked. We made proper flashings with upstands and cover pieces, and clad the one chimney that was cracked at the top in sheet metal.
